I must admit that I made this honey-flavoured crockpot chili about two weeks ago but could not find the courage to post it because I am a “season-to-taste cook”, and I only use measurements when baking or if I am trying a recipe out for the 1st time.
After the first time, the measurements go out the window because I either change them to my liking or use my tastebuds as a judge. With that being said, it was sort of hard to put this together so you would be able to replicate it, but I couldn’t hold out any longer because it’s so good (so good that a day later, the honey-flavoured crockpot chili was hanging on a thread and the cornbread was gone).

Easy Honey-Flavoured Crockpot Chili Recipe
Ingredients
Chili Ingredients
1 pound ground pork (minced pork)
2 cans red kidney beans - sugar-free
1 can tomato - crushed
1 can tomato - diced with chiles sugar-free
½ medium yellow onion - diced
1 clove garlic - diced
Chili Powder Ingredients
2 pinches salt
2 pinches ground black pepper
Instructions
- Empty your tomatoes and beans in the slow cooker and set the temperature to low if you’re heading out for work ( I did high because I was rushing the meal for dinner time)
- Brown your ground meat on the stove top with the diced onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash. This was last minute for me, so I cooked it on the stovetop to speed up the process.
- Add your meat and chili powder to the crockpot and stir diligently to ensure an even combination of the meat, sauce and beans. Be sure to taste your chili after you shake it (I did approximately 5 shakes) to ensure no bitterness.
- If you’re cooking on high as I did, this will take about 2 hrs. If you’re cooking it on low and you browned your meat, I would say about 4 to 6 hrs.
