You'll need to serve these Thai lettuce cups when you are planning a party. These are very easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Meat Ingredients
600 grams ground chicken (minced chicken)
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 cloves garlic - finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger - grated
5 tablespoons soy sauce - gluten-free
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Peanut Sauce Ingredients
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 pinch ginger - grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce - gluten-free
1 tablespoon maple syrup
50 ml water
For the party
1 handful green onions (scallions or green shallots)
1 handful carrots
1 handful red cabbage
1 handful cilantro (coriander)
Instructions
- Prepare all your veggies, chop them finely and set them aside. Prepare the baby lettuces, chop the end off and separate each leaf to make little cups.
- Prepare the sauce by combining all ingredients. You can add more water if you wish to make the sauce more liquid.
- Heat a pan with coconut oil, cook the chicken slightly and add the garlic, ginger, chilli paste, salt and pepper.
- Stir in the seasonings and let the chicken brown. Add in the soya sauce, rice vinegar and maple syrup, turn down the heat and let it caramelize.
- Dish all preparations on the table and let the party begin!
