Simple Ground Beef and Rice Recipe
This simple ground beef and rice dish is what you need on a very exhausting day. Try this recipe when you want a simple yet super satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (minced beef)
- 1 medium yellow onion - chopped
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (chilli powder in British English)
- 10 ¾ ounces cream of mushroom soup
- 7 ounces corn - undrained
- 1 medium tomatoes - chopped
- 1 medium green pepper (green capsicum) - chopped
- 1 1⁄2 cups rice
Instructions
- Cook the beef in a large skillet until it gets browned. Start adding chopped onion and cook under medium or low (not too low) heat until the onion and beef get tender.
- Drain the fat and add water, chilli powder, soup, tomato, green pepper, corn and salt.
- Bring it to a boil. Stir in the rice. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
