The Best Grilled Burgers. I have a handful of staple recipes in our back pocket that we know by heart and know everyone in the family loves. From easy ground chicken recipes to ground venison, these are the recipes you pull out when it is 4 pm, and you haven’t even begun to think about what to make for dinner. They are fast, easy, and made with ingredients you always have on hand.

My best grilled burgers are one of these recipes in our house. You can grill them outside or on the stovetop, and either way, they turn out amazing each and every time. My best grilled burgers recipe is definitely one of my go-to, no-fail recipes, and now you can add it to your list.

Hamburgers are a favorite in our family. Even our picky eater will eat an entire burger as long as it has pickles and ketchup on it. A few years ago, I decided to play around with some ingredients to add some extra flavor to the burgers. This combination was our favorite and has been the one we use every time we have burgers.

The most important ingredient in a great hamburger is the beef. Start with high-quality, grass-fed ground beef. Grass-fed beef is becoming more widely available as more is understood about its health benefits. In our place, we can buy it at the local grocery store and we usually get our beef from a local butcher. Their prices are better than the large chain stores because you are cutting out the retail mark-up, and I know exactly where my meat is coming from and how it is raised, which is important to me. 

If your family eats beef regularly, it might be worth investing in a half or quarter of beef from a local provider. The price is often much better than buying individual pieces, and you get to try a variety of cuts you may not have otherwise chosen.

Back to the best grilled burgers recipe. This recipe is so easy, and it makes the most delicious burgers. Simply add the cheese, Worcestershire, pepper, and garlic powder to the ground beef and mix lightly with your hands. You don’t want to mix too much, so the texture resembles meatloaf, but just enough to incorporate the ingredients.

Form them into patties and throw them on the grill. That’s it. Don’t forget to toast the bun. It adds texture and amazing taste, and brings the best grilled burgers to the next level.

Pro Tip: Make extra burger patties and freeze them for an even faster meal. Simply combine all of the ingredients and form into patties. Lay the patties in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer for 1 hour. Then, move the frozen patties to a ziptop bag for storage. When you are ready to cook, remove the patties and leave them in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours or on the counter for 30 minutes. Grill the best grilled burgers to perfection and enjoy.

Ingredients
 
 

  • Raw Meat Mince1 pound ground beef (minced beef)
  • Colby Jack Cheese¾ cup Colby Jack cheese - shredded
  • Worcestershire Sauce2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Ground Black Pepper Pile, Paths, Top½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Dried Garlic½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Gently mix all ingredients together just until combined.
  • Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Grill to preferred doneness.
