Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound ground beef (minced beef) - lean
- 1 medium green pepper - chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion - chopped
- 1 clove garlic - crushed
- 19 ounces tomatoes
- 16 ounces tomato paste
- ⅔ cup water
- 1 cube beef stock (beef broth or beef bouillon)
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Lightly brown beef in a large saucepan. Drain off excess fat. Add green pepper, onion and garlic. Saute until the onion is transparent.
- Get a pot, add the beef, sauted mixture and all of the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Cover it and and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm.
