¼teaspoonchili powder (chilli powder in British English) - or more if you like it hot
1largeyellow onion - chopped
2teaspoonschicken stock (chicken broth or chicken bouillon)
1 ½cupspeas
3cupswhite rice - cooked
½cupground beef (minced beef)
Instructions
Heat oil in a heavy-based pan and add spices. Gently fry for one minute and add the beef. Let brown, then add the onion. Continue to fry gently (don’t burn the spices) for about 5 minutes until the onion is soft and cooked. Add stock powder add vegetables (and meat if desired), and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add rice and cook until rice is heated through.
Serve onto plates or lunch boxes and top with fried egg.
