3stalksgreen onions (scallions or green shallots) - sliced
¼cupcilantro (coriander) - chopped
6cupssteamed rice - for 6 servings
Instructions
Over medium-high, heat a large skillet. Using a spatula, break up the ground pork and cook it in the pan, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the grated ginger and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Whisk together in a small bowl the light and dark soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, and water.
Pour the sauce mixture over the ground pork and stir to combine. Lower the heat to medium to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, or cook the sauce until it thickens and the flavors have blended together.
Stir in the sliced green onions and chopped cilantro.
Serve the braised minced pork over steamed rice and enjoy!
