Creamy Beef Mince and Tomato Pasta Bake
This Creamy Beef Mince and Tomato Pasta Bake is a comforting dish inspired by classic Italian pasta bakes, featuring rich, savory flavors with a modern creamy twist.

- 250 g pasta shells - preferably organic
1 tbsp olive oil - extra virgin
1 medium onion - finely chopped
2 cloves garlic - minced- 500 g beef mince - grass-fed
1 can crushed tomatoes - 400g/14oz, no added salt
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
200 ml cream - heavy, organic
100 g mozzarella cheese - grated
50 g Parmesan cheese - grated
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook the pasta shells in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add beef mince to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the cream into the tomato and beef mixture, stirring until well combined and creamy. Remove from heat.
- Combine cooked pasta with the creamy beef mixture. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle the grated mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Notes
For a lighter version, use half cream and half milk. Feel free to add some chopped fresh basil before serving for an added burst of flavor.
