2tablespoonschili powder (chilli powder in British English)
2teaspoonsground cumin
1teaspoonground black pepper - freshly ground
1teaspoonsea salt - organic
1tablespoonpaprika
2cansred kidney beans - 15-ounce each, drained
1teaspooncayenne pepper - to taste (optional)
Instructions
Add turkey, garlic, and onions to a large skillet.
Brown the ingredients until the turkey is no longer pink.
Add remaining ingredients *except beans*, to a large saucepan and bring to a boil. (Adding beans too early could make them soggy)
Throw in turkey, garlic, and onions.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Add beans and cook until heated.
Notes
For a complete meal: serve with a side of Pineapple and a few Saltine Crackers. If you like noodles in your soup, add brown rice noodles. Most of them are wheat-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free but make sure to double-check the label!
