If you love experimenting on chili recipes, this honey-flavoured crockpot chili is a must-try. It's an easy dish that you only need to leave to cook for six hours.
Empty your tomatoes and beans in the slow cooker and set the temperature to low if you’re heading out for work ( I did high because I was rushing the meal for dinner time)
Brown your ground meat on the stove top with the diced onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash. This was last minute for me, so I cooked it on the stovetop to speed up the process.
Add your meat and chili powder to the crockpot and stir diligently to ensure an even combination of the meat, sauce and beans. Be sure to taste your chili after you shake it (I did approximately 5 shakes) to ensure no bitterness.
If you’re cooking on high as I did, this will take about 2 hrs. If you’re cooking it on low and you browned your meat, I would say about 4 to 6 hrs.
